Everybody was probably wondering whether the next issue of the Tel Aviv Street Photography Photozines would come out and when. Probably there were the ones, who thought it was dead already. But no, the 8th issue is alive and running and will hit Tel Aviv sometime during the next week.
Being constantly late with nearly all of the previous monthly issues I began wondering whether the monthly format was right for publishing my ongoing works. I am pretty productive and photograph all the time, and nevertheless I had hard time gathering enough material for a whole issue if the issue was limited by only one month. Hence in April I decided to wait more. And then in May I decided to wait even more and finally in June, looking at the gathered work I felt like it was the right time to publish. I think tri-monthly format will do better for the project and this is how I am going to proceed with it from now on.
Naturally, tri-monthly issues will be bigger and will cost more leaving me much less space for a markup. The current issue, for example contains 43 photographs, which I priced at $12 - only $2 over the production price. Considering my expenses of buying out 20 copies, this markup will not help me a lot. Anyway, I'm telling you this so that everyone will understand that this is not a business project and will never be. The project is about letting people have and appreciate my work. I gain satisfaction and inspiration from this as an author.
So, again, thanks to everyone interested in my publications! Please visit my store for current and previous issues. There are also books available at Blurb. Badges below will show you the way. You may also get there through the Zines and the Books sections of my website.
