Zines MANIFEST: Short Version
In August 2013 I decided to publish a series of monthly photozines showcasing my ongoing work. The idea was to substitute publishing on facebook, flikr and other means of virtual life with a real stuff and give my photographs shape, substance and physical appearance. This was meant to help draw them out of an endless stream of virtual garbage they were buried under for years and give the photographs a new life as a real objects one could hold, store or transfer to others.
Most important however, is that these printed photographs now live separately from me. They are independent of my Internet account. They are there, somewhere and I, as an author, don’t control their whereabouts.
I usually buy out a small run of twenty copies of each issue and distribute them free of charge in cafes and bars of Tel Aviv.
Any issue may be purchased from the MagCloud website by the link on the "Zines" section of this website.
I also publish books, which may be found in the "Books" section.
